Transitional Living Services (TLS)

MCFI, together with its affiliate TLS provides vital programs and services for more than 1,000 people living with mental illness in Milwaukee, Racine and Waukesha counties.

Our programs serve adults who have severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring substance abuse disorders, as well as medical conditions and/or developmental disabilities.

The goal is to assist our clients to function independently as they live and work in the community, with a wide-ranging network of support. More than 97 percent of client days are lived in the community.

Community Behavioral Health Services

The following array of programs serves people who have severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring substance abuse disorders, medical conditions and/or developmental disorders. The common goal of these programs is to assist individuals to function independently as they live and work in the community. Clients receive a wide range of support that leads to successful outcomes. Over 97 percent of client days are lived in the community.

MCFI case management professionals assess and reassess client needs, develop and review individualized care plans and deliver services in the client's environment. Each program flexes its service delivery to meet the needs of the clients. Programs requiring licensure are fully licensed in Wisconsin.

Community Support Program & Targeted Case Management

The Community Support Program (CSP) and Targeted Case Management (TCM) are operated under the auspices of the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division to provide community-based services in collaboration with a client and their supports. Services are flexible, respectful, and vary in intensity and duration according to the needs of the person. We promote the recovery and attainment of the highest level of independence through normalization and assertive outreach.

Diversion

Diversion Services is a Milwaukee County Disability Services Division-sponsored program that serves clients who are developmentally disabled and are experiencing behavioral health concerns. Assertive case intervention methods are used to assist individuals and their supports to receive guidance for independent living. Services are designed to assist clients to adapt and cope effectively with problems of everyday independent living in the community.

Psychotherapy Clinic

MCFI has operated a HFS 61.91 licensed mental health outpatient clinic since 1981. Our treatment staff of psychiatrist, psychologist and psychotherapists have years of experience in providing effective psychotherapeutic interventions to people who have behavioral health problems. In addition, we pride ourselves in addressing the unique mental health needs of persons with developmental disorders. We accept Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance.
