Mission

Our mission is to foster an environment that reflects the community we serve, values the skills and talents of each individual, and ensures quality service to our clients with special needs.

Vision

Our vision is to be the benchmark of diversity and inclusion among nonprofit agencies in Southeastern Wisconsin. MCFI will be the organization from which clients want to receive services, for which funders want to provide support, where vendors want to do business and employees see diverse opportunities.

Diversity Team Goals:
  • Express our commitment to understanding what diversity is and its impact on the workplace and the communities we serve
  • Increase appreciation for the richness brought by different skills, abiliteis, attitudes, perspectives and approaches
  • Promote understanding and cooperation among people of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Create communication tools that promote knowledge and understanding of diversity
  • Be innovative and creative in managing diversity at MCFI
  • Collaborate with community agencies and businesses in understanding and promoting diversity
Managing Principles
  • Members represent a cross-section of the organization
  • A structure that reflects the culture of the organization
  • A system and process to track and measure progress
  • A strategic communication plan that includes reporting on progress and conveying diversity messages in a variety of media
  • A clear understanding of the agency's strategic objectives
  • Links to other major agency functions, such as Human Resources, Communications and Training and Development
  • Ongoing member education and team-building
